bob-esposito > Around the beginning of winter, Olivia lost her ability to stand or to walk. This loss of mobility was caused by lymphoma which she was diagnosed with earlier in the year. Olivia was set up comfortably in the barn for a while before moving indoors to farm owners Jen and Doug's house to spend the rest of the winter. These photos are from her time in the barn.
bob-esposito > Though Olivia could not stand or walk on her own her wits never diminished. She continued to accept smushes from anyone passing by and she could still mooch the food out of your hand before you knew it was gone. There is no time on a clock that Olivia will not eat.
bob-esposito > Olivia with access to water, food and goat minerals.
bob-esposito > Olivia's one-goat impersonation of Mount Rushmore.
bob-esposito > Olivia and staff would often play gin rummy in the barn. The pig gate is closed because of the pig's tendency to run the table.
bob-esposito > Olivia comfortable in the barn. Soon after, she would move into the main house with many people's thoughts that she wouldn't be returning to the barn.
bob-esposito > Photo by Farm Director Jen. Olivia being transported from the barn to the house by staff member Amber and Farm Director Doug. Albie the goat follows.
